Here are some funny and painful ways that gravity can pull you every which way. The first four I have done personally, everywhere from Minnesota to Montana. Snowbanks take a beating with these.
1. The Catapult
The Catapult is usually a rather rough fall. It is when, going off a jump, ledge, bump, or something else of the type, you end up flying through the air. There are three subtypes of the Catapult: the Catapult Slide, the Catapult Stop, and the Catapult Cartwheel, in which you do exactly what it sounds like.
2. The “I’m Stuck”
The “I’m Stuck” is not very rough, but very funny. After cartwheeling, sliding, or simply tipping over, you’ll find yourself stuck: in a snowbank, the ski hill, or buried under a deluge of snow from the tree conveniently located directly above your head.
3. The Photograph
The Photograph is after you fall (somehow), when you sit up, leaving a perfect face-print in the snow.
4. The Twist
The Twist happens when your skis cross, resulting in some form of twisted landing.
5. The Grand Deluxe
The Grand Deluxe is a rare occurrence: The Grand Deluxe is when the previous four crashes crash their way all at once into your life. DO NOT attempt on purpose.
There are many more ways to crash, as you have probably discovered, but in the interest of time, the list is just this. In the meantime, crash on!
