Bobby Orr,besides being famous for his diving goal to win the stanley cup Bobby Orr is also known for being a great defensemen.He has won many trophies multiple times including the Calder memorial(league's most outstanding rookie player),James Norris Trophy(Defenseman who demonstrates the best all around ability in their position),Hart memorial trophy(leagues most valuable player),along with many others.One of his sayings was Forget about style;worry about results 
Gordie Howe,Gordie Howe is generally referred to as Mr.Hockey because he is an outstanding hockey player.He is ambidextrous with his stick so he can shoot right or left.When he was 16 he got invited to play for a the farm team of the red wings,he later went to the NHL and scored his first goal at 18.Besides being a great scorer and playmaker he was not afraid to fight.While he was playing he received a fracture to the skull and did not play for the rest of that season,however he returned next season to get 89 points.
Mario Lemieux is also widely acknowledged for being a amazing hockey player.Despite his size and strength he is
also very fast and has great hands.His giant body can help him plow through anyone and his hands let him beat any defenseman with ease.
Sidney Crosby,the most recent player in this list that is in my opinion going to be one of the best players in history by the time he retires.Also like Wayne Gretzky he is a very good all around player with great hockey skills,awareness,and attitude.
